Are you an experienced and innovative Opto-Mechanical Engineer? Do you want to work on cutting-edge projects in space, aerospace, defence, and industrial markets? The engineer will be critically involved with requirement derivation/flow down, review of requirements, and requirements management with respect to opto-mechanical technologies.
Design of mechanical components to support opto-mechanical system assembly and verification is also expected along with hands-on support during opto-mechanical system integration and testing. As well as optical mountings, the role will also involve mechanical design and analysis work on our core products: Imaging packages for space and associated ground based cryogenic test camera systems.
Essential Experience:- Expert knowledge of precision mechanical mounting of optics for structural, dynamic and thermal environments.
- Ability and experience reviewing opto-mechanical designs, particularly overseeing sub-contractor design progression through gate reviews.
- Working knowledge of CAD packages.
- Design and analysis experience applicable to opto-mechanics.
- Knowledge of requirements management - compliance verification matrix, DFMEA, risk register.
