We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regulatory and Governance Manager (UK) to support our client, a large well-known multinational fintech business for a 6 month contract working on a remote working basis. You will take full ownership of governance and regulatory reporting within a dynamic, regulated fintech business. This is a high-impact role within the second line of defence, with ownership of UK entity compliance oversight and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the UK Risk & Compliance Committee (agenda, materials, actions)
- Own regulatory reporting & notifications (incl. complaints, fraud, incidents, returns)
- Design and deliver a robust, risk-based compliance monitoring programme
- Oversee governance frameworks, MI, and escalation pathways
- Provide independent challenge to the first line and support remediation efforts
- Advise on UK regulatory requirements (FCA Handbook etc)
- Deliver clear reporting to senior stakeholders and present at governance forums
About you:
You will have ideally worked in the payments sector or in the banking sector and be experienced in regulatory reporting and running or organising compliance and risk committees. You will be an experienced compliance professional within UK regulated financial services and you will have a strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework. You will have proven experience setting up and operating compliance monitoring and testing programmes. Strong knowledge of FCA requirements and regulatory reporting is essential. Ability to design monitoring frameworks and drive continuous improvement.
