My client is seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of advanced electronic hardware.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to production.

You'll be responsible for delivering robust hardware solutions, making key technical decisions, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop products that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex multi‑layer PCBs incorporating high‑speed digital, FPGA, switch‑mode power supply (SMPS) and mixed‑signal circuitry using Altium Designer.
  • Take ownership of the complete hardware development lifecycle, from requirements capture and schematic design through to PCB layout, verification, production release and manufacturing support.
  • Investigate and resolve hardware issues using structured root cause analysis and a range of laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and logic analysers.
  • Consider system‑level design implications, including EMC performance, thermal management, firmware integration, signal integrity and long‑term product reliability.
  • Support compliance, verification and certification activities to ensure products meet industry and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, systems and mechanical engineering teams to deliver fully integrated electronic systems.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where appropriate.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience independently designing and delivering complex multi‑layer PCB assemblies.
  • Strong background in high‑speed digital, power electronics and mixed‑signal circuit design.
  • Excellent knowledge of Altium Designer, including schematic capture, PCB layout and design for manufacture.
  • Experience debugging and validating hardware using industry‑standard laboratory equipment.

Demonstrated experience taking electronic products through the complete development lifecycle, including hardware/software integration and transition into manufacture.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering decisions and clearly communicate technical reasoning.
