Are you a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for process improvement, NPI, and driving innovation in electronics or device assembly, ready to take full ownership of a busy manufacturing area and shape its future. This isn’t just a technical role — you’ll have the authority to drive strategy, optimise processes, and influence senior leaders to deliver tangible business impact.
Join a growing business that blends cutting-edge product development with high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to optimise processes, support new product launches, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that truly make an impact.
You won’t be stuck firefighting here. This is a real opportunity to shape how things are made — from new product launches to smart process improvements in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment.
The role in 60 seconds:
- You’ll own the manufacturing area end-to-end, from process design to execution and improvement, leading NPI projects, turning prototypes into optimised production processes.
- Implement APQP, PFMEA, control plans and capability studies to ensure product quality.
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives that improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Influence board-level decisions with clear strategy and data-backed recommendations.
- Solve complex production challenges and see your ideas implemented on the shop floor.
- You’ll work with passionate teams across R&D, Quality, Production and Supply Chain.
Why this might just be your next big move:
- You’ll be more than a cog in the wheel — your voice matters here.
- You’ll play a key role in bringing new tech from prototype to production.
- You’ll leave things better than you found them — and be recognised for it.
- You’ll collaborate with sharp, cross-functional teams in a growing, tech-led business.
- You’ll be hands-on — not desk-bound.
What we’re looking for:
- 8-10 years’ experience in manufacturing.
- Proven track record in NPI, APQP, and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MES systems experience.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change without direct line management.
Bonus points for:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 13485, or IATF 16949.
- ERP/MES or manufacturing analytics experience.
