We're supporting a leading advanced engineering and manufacturing organisation investing heavily in its production capability. As part of this growth, we're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Investment Project Manager to lead capital investment and manufacturing improvement projects across a complex production environment.
This is an opportunity to influence how future products are manufactured, leading projects from initial concept and business case through to installation, commissioning and production handover.
The Role
You'll work across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to identify manufacturing improvement opportunities, develop investment proposals and deliver projects that increase capacity, improve efficiency and support future growth.
- Lead manufacturing capital investment projects from concept through to delivery.
- Develop business cases, cost models and ROI justifications for new equipment and production improvements.
- Conduct capacity planning and identify manufacturing bottlenecks.
- Specify, procure and commission new manufacturing equipment and production systems.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and delivery risks.
- Support new product introduction by providing manufacturing cost estimates and production planning inputs.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and manage external suppliers throughout project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
- Experience delivering manufacturing, industrial or capital investment projects.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
- Experience developing business cases and managing project budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
- Experience within regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence, automotive, FMCG, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or similar would be highly advantageous.
