This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in shaping and maintaining a robust Business Management System (BMS) while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
What you’ll be doing:- Maintaining and continually improving the Business Management System (BMS) in line with ISO 9001 and defence quality standards.
- Managing the internal audit programme and conducting audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement.
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys and similar methodologies.
- Supporting design reviews and customer quality requirements across bids and contracts.
- Investigating customer returns and non-conformances.
- Driving supplier quality performance, including audits, APQP activity, FAIs and improvement plans.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, reduce defects and strengthen the supply chain.
- Experience managing BMS/QMS within a design & manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits and continuous improvement.
- Practical experience with 8D problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop clear processes, procedures and quality documentation.
- Confident communicator able to engage with engineers, suppliers and customers.
- Defence, aerospace or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of AQAP2110 or AS9100.
- Supplier quality and design assurance experience.
- ~37.5 hour week.
