Overview
In this 3rd line Citrix Engineer role, you will act as the technical authority for Citrix infrastructure in secure enterprise environments. You’ll lead complex investigations, optimize user experience, and drive patches, migrations, and improvements on-site at Farnborough, Erskine, or Preston. The role requires active SC clearance and a strong collaboration with cross-functional teams within an ITIL-aligned service model. This is a hands-on position focused on reliability, performance, and technical assurance in a security‑sensitive project.
Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd line support for complex Citrix incidents and problems
- Serve as SME for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM
- Lead technical investigations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Manage and optimise Citrix policies, profiles and end-user experience
- Support patching, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering and cross-functional teams
- Proactively identify and resolve defects and recurring issues
- Maintain strong customer service and operate in line with ITIL and service management processes
Key requirements
- Proven experience in a Third Line / Senior Infrastructure Support role
- Hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop)
- Citrix Cloud
- NetScaler ADC
- Citrix WEM
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
- FSLogix
- Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V and/or XenServer environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Experience with ITIL and enterprise support models
- Active SC Clearance is essential
