I’m currently recruiting for a Permanent Electronic Digital Design Engineer role with a well-established UK organisation working on advanced defence and national security programmes. This position sits within a highly capable engineering team delivering digital subsystems for mission critical applications, covering everything from rapid prototyping and urgent operational requirements through to full product lifecycle delivery.

Role overview

  • Ownership of the full engineering lifecycle: requirements, high level and detailed schematic design, simulation, test planning, integration, debugging, and manufacturing support
  • Design of compact, power efficient digital platforms
  • Hands on involvement with verification, bring up, and compliance to defence standards
  • Contribution to reliability design, obsolescence management, and design for manufacture/test
  • PCB and schematic design using tools such as Altium, HyperLynx, Cadence/Allegro, and SPICE
  • Experience with hardware verification and debugging
  • Exposure to FPGA based systems (VHDL/Verilog) and/or mixed signal designs is highly desirable
  • Eligibility to obtain SC clearance (UK nationality and residency requirements apply)
