We are seeking a Distributed Control Systems (DCS) engineer with project experience to support a major UK programme. This is a hands-on role with long-term potential.
Location: Fully onsite for first 3 months, then hybrid (1 week onsite / 3 weeks remote, subject to business needs)
Contract: 6 months initially, likely to extend up to 23 months
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, testing and integrating DCS and control solutions
- Working to industry standards on high-integrity software for defence applications
- Engaging in all aspects of the software development lifecycle within a multi-disciplinary team
- Leading assurance, configuration, release and review activities
- Background in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related subject)
- Experience/knowledge of DCS, PLC programming, and SCADA systems
- Strong grasp of control systems engineering principles
- Ability to translate requirements into robust, compliant software solutions
