Overview
In this role you will design, deploy and support Cisco Telephony, UC and videoconferencing in a secure, high-profile environment.
You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, resolve complex incidents, and drive continual service improvement.
The position offers long-term contract work onsite in Stevenage, contributing to mission-critical communications systems.
You will be able to shape technical strategy and documentation while operating in a demanding security-focused context.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and support Cisco Telephony and videoconferencing projects
- Provide specialist L1/L2 support on complex incidents
- Lead major incident resolution including RCA and action planning
- Support problem management and continual service improvement
- Troubleshoot Cisco UC, voice and video environments
- Produce and maintain HLD/LLD and technical documentation
- Perform hardware and configuration testing
- Provide knowledge transfer to engineers and technical teams
- Collaborate with technical leads, SDMs and customer stakeholders
- Key requirements
- 5+ years of Cisco experience
- Cisco CUCM v12.5
- Cisco Unity Connection
- Cisco Jabber
- Cisco IP Phones
- Cisco Meeting Server (CMS)
- Cisco videoconferencing endpoints
- Cisco TMS
- VMware v7/v8
- Experience with Kurmi, Telisca, Prognosis, Peter Connects, real-time monitoring tools
- WAN/LAN networking or network security advantageous
- Active UK SC clearance is essential
- Sole UK national only
- No more than 28 days outside the UK in the last 5 years
- MOD SC clearance preferred
