Join a high-profile aerospace and defence programme delivering critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) capabilities across sensitive MOD environments. This is an opportunity to shape and lead IAM product strategy within a secure, complex, and highly collaborative setting.
We're seeking an experienced Product Owner (IAM) to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of enterprise IAM solutions across major defence and aerospace programmes. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and senior leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and high-value IAM capabilities aligned to organisational and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong Agile delivery expertise, deep IAM knowledge, and prior experience operating within secure MOD or aerospace environments.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive the IAM product vision, roadmap, and backlog
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define and prioritise IAM requirements
- Translate business needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories
- Lead Agile delivery activities across the IAM product lifecycle
- Ensure secure, compliant, and scalable IAM solutions are delivered
- Act as the Voice of the Customer throughout product development
- Support Solution Architects in shaping integrated IAM solutions
- Oversee product performance, delivery velocity, and incident resolution
- Manage risk, governance, and compliance across IAM initiatives
- Align IAM delivery with wider Digital Information and portfolio objectives
- Active SC Clearance
- Only UK National status
- Proven experience delivering within MOD, Defence Digital, or aerospace environments
- Strong background managing end-to-end IT or digital product delivery
- Deep understanding of IAM technologies and protocols including:
- SAML
- OAuth
- OpenID Connect
- LDAP
- Hands‑on experience with IAM platforms such as:
- Okta
- Azure AD
- Ping Identity
- ForgeRock
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex security and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with identity governance tools such as SailPoint or Saviynt
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- CISSP certification
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- Previous line management experience within IT delivery teams
- Work on nationally significant defence and aerospace programmes
- High‑impact IAM transformation initiatives
- Hybrid flexibility with collaborative onsite engagement
