Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Project Manager with current MOD DV clearance to support a major UK defence programme based on-site in Warton. The role will focus on managing security-focused workstreams within a highly classified environment, ensuring delivery is compliant with MOD security standards, governance, and timelines. This is a long-term contract opportunity operating inside IR35, requiring consistent on-site presence due to the sensitivity of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage security-related projects and workstreams within a defence environment
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver security activities in line with programme milestones
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and security controls across the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with MOD policies and frameworks including JSP 440, JSP 604, and associated assurance processes
- Act as the primary interface between security architects, engineering teams, suppliers, and MOD stakeholders
- Support accreditation, assurance, and audit activities
- Produce and maintain project plans, RAID logs, governance packs, and security documentation
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and delivery status to senior stakeholders
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering security-focused projects within MOD or defence environments
Current MOD DV clearance (mandatory - no sponsorship available)
Strong understanding of information assurance, security governance, and compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong documentation, reporting, and governance capability
