Our client is looking for an experienced HGV fitter/mechanic to work at their workshop based in Richmond. This is a long-term contract position with an immediate start.
The role will involve maintenance and repairs on vans/HGVs and mini buses. The engineer will need to be familiar with carrying routine Safety Inspections on HGVs in line with DVSA standards and preparing HGVs for annual MOT.
Knowledge of both petrol and diesel engines would be an advantage. The engineer will need to complete detailed maintenance inspection reports in line with DVSA regulations. The ability to use engine diagnostic equipment is also an advantage.
Class 4 and 7 MOT qualification is not essential; however, this would be an advantage.
Working hours are 07:30-16:30 Mon - Fri (40 hours per week) with a 1-hour lunch break. Ideally, a clean driving licence with Category C (HGV entitlement) is required.
