We are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out installation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), diagnostics and repairs on a range of commercial and residential air conditioning systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong installation background along with fault‑finding skills and hands‑on experience working with leading manufacturers including Daikin, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi Electric systems.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out installations
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults across a range of split, multi‑split, VRV/VRF, and heat pump systems.
- Service and maintain equipment to manufacturer standards.
- Attend reactive breakdown callouts and resolve issues efficiently.
- Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Identify and recommend remedial works where required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and communication while on site.
- Work independently and manage daily workload effectively.
- Participate in an out‑of‑hours callout rota where required.
- Ensure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained in good condition.
- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer (minimum 3 years)
- Strong working knowledge of Daikin systems
- Strong working knowledge of Panasonic systems
- Strong working knowledge of Mitsubishi Electric systems
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience carrying out servicing and maintenance works.
- Knowledge of VRV/VRF systems, split systems, and heat pumps.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good understanding of refrigeration principles and electrical controls.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- F‑Gas Category 1 Certification.
- Relevant HVAC / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (preferred).
- Experience working in commercial environments including offices, retail, hospitality, and industrial sites.
- Manufacturer training certifications from Daikin, Panasonic, or Mitsubishi Electric.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Professional and presentable.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
