Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Biomedical Engineer to join a well-established healthcare engineering team, providing on-site medical device repair, preventative maintenance and asset management within a hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support against contractual KPIs while building strong working relationships with clinical staff, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure a responsive and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) on medical equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose and complete repairs on a range of medical devices
- Support the Site Manager / Team Leader in achieving contractual KPIs
- Provide responsive technical support to minimise disruption to hospital operations
- Complete all service-related administration accurately and on time
- Maintain service documentation in line with business and regulatory requirements
- Manage spare parts stock where required
- Plan and complete assigned workloads within agreed timescales
- Maintain safe working practices within a clinical environment
- Maintain tools and test equipment to required standards
- Liaise with OEM service staff and management when required
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics or Medical Technologies (e.g. Biomedical Engineering)
- 6 months - 1 years UK-based experience carrying service/repair work on medical equipment
You must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship to be eligible to apply for this role.
