What you'll be doing
- Researching and developing advanced materials
- Investigating how materials behave under extreme temperatures, pressure and mechanical loads
- Supporting material testing, analysis and qualification
- Solving real manufacturing and engineering challenges
- Working with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Producing technical reports and presenting findings
- Supporting new material development for future technologies
No two days are the same, and you'll quickly gain exposure to the complete product lifecycle—from research through to manufacturing.
What we’re looking for
- A degree (or be graduating this year) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline
- A genuine interest in materials and how they perform in real engineering applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and desire to continually develop your knowledge
Industrial placements, laboratory experience or manufacturing exposure would be advantageous but are not essential.
