A leading UK-based advanced engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to support a highly regulated production environment. You will be responsible for the calibration, control and compliance of measurement, instrumentation and test equipment, ensuring accuracy, traceability and audit readiness across site operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Calibrate and maintain instrumentation, linear and test equipment
- Manage calibration assets and schedules using CMMS
- Create and maintain calibration procedures and documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Coordinate external calibration activities and manage overdue assets
- Maintain a high-standard calibration lab (5S)
- Support quality investigations and provide technical gauging advice
About you:
- Time-served engineer or equivalent qualification (HNC/HND/BTEC Level 3)
- Proven experience in calibration within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical/electrical understanding
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Familiar with CMMS and MS Office
- Solid understanding of calibration principles (ISO 9001 knowledge advantageous)
