Hardware Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure for major Defence programmes.
Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll design, build, deploy and support hardware and infrastructure solutions, collaborating with software engineers, architects and systems specialists to deliver resilient, high-performance platforms in secure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy and support hardware and infrastructure solutions.
Build and maintain physical servers, storage and networking equipment.
Manage virtualised environments (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or similar).
Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
Configure LAN, WAN, VLANs and firewall technologies.
Support hardware deployments, testing and live operational activities.
Manage hardware lifecycle activities, upgrades and asset management.
Produce technical documentation and work closely with customers and project teams.
Skills & Experience
You'll have experience with several of the following: Hardware and infrastructure engineering in Defence, Government or secure environments.
Enterprise server, storage and networking technologies.
VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or other virtualisation platforms.
Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
Networking, firewalls and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Hardware deployment, lifecycle management and vendor engagement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams.
