Requirements
- Active SC Clearance is essential.
- Experience in enterprise data architecture.
- Experience with data warehousing, data lakes and lakehouse solutions.
- Strong background in data modelling and data governance.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience with relational and No SQL databases.
- Experience with data virtualisation.
- Experience with analytics and BI platforms such as Power BI, SAS or R.
- Experience with APIs and data integration.
- Experience working in Agile, Dev Ops and CI/CD delivery environments.
- Experience delivering large-scale public sector or regulated industry programmes is highly beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise data architectures, including data modelling, governance, metadata, lineage and quality.
- Define modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses and lakehouse architectures.
- Design ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Advise on cloud-based data platforms, virtualisation and modern analytics architectures.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to implementation.
- Support architecture governance, best practice and technical assurance.
- Work with engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions across Agile environments.

We are supporting a major UK public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high-profile delivery team designing enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions.
This is a 6-month contract role based in Telford with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days onsite per week.
The role is inside IR35, with a day rate of £550 to £600.
We are offering an opportunity to work on a significant transformation programme alongside technical teams and senior stakeholders, helping to shape secure, scalable and governed data solutions.
