Are you an experienced SC Cleared QA Tester looking to work on a large-scale government programme where quality, reliability and collaboration are at the heart of delivery? We're looking for a hands-on QA professional to join an Agile delivery team, helping to test and assure the quality of data-driven solutions that support critical public sector services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both manual and automated testing and has experience working with complex data environments.
The Role
As a QA Tester, you'll be involved throughout the testing lifecycle, from analysing requirements and defining test approaches through to executing functional, integration and end-to-end testing. You'll work closely with developers, business analysts and project stakeholders to ensure high-quality software is delivered on time. This role offers a varied workload across multiple projects, with the opportunity to contribute to both manual and automated testing activities while working within an established Agile team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and executing manual and automated test scripts.
- Producing Test Approaches, Test Plans and Test Completion Reports.
- Performing Functional System Testing, Integration Testing and supporting End-to-End testing.
- Creating test scenarios and preparing test data from business and technical requirements.
- Identifying, recording and tracking defects through to resolution.
- Working collaboratively with delivery teams and external suppliers.
- Providing regular updates on testing progress, risks and issues.
- Supporting continuous improvements in testing processes and quality assurance.
What We're Looking For
- Active SC Clearance.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification.
- Experience in both manual and automated software testing.
- Strong Functional and Integration Testing experience.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with Oracle or other relational databases.
- Experience testing Data Warehouses, Data Marts, Data Migration or ETL solutions.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Knowledge of AWS environments.
- Experience using Jira, Zephyr Scale (or similar Test Management tools) and Git.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
