I'm looking for a Senior Technical Architect - Cloud & Microservices to join a major technology programme, working at the heart of the architecture and design function. This is a role for someone who can operate at architectural level but isn't afraid to get hands-on when required.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the key point of contact for technical and software architecture, making critical design decisions and ensuring solutions are robust, scalable and built for the long term.
- Define and design software solutions with a focus on stability, scalability, maintainability and performance.
- Develop architectural views and define how software components interact.
- Ensure solutions align with the longer-term technical strategy and wider architecture.
- Support solutions throughout construction and work closely with development teams.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to architects, developers and managers.
- Champion architectural standards and ensure teams adhere to agreed designs.
- Maintain key architectural documentation and communicate changes effectively.
- Help build and develop an effective software engineering team.
- Work within Agile environments and contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Balance technical decisions with wider business and strategic requirements.
- Bring a curious, problem-solving mindset and get hands-on when needed.
