We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a major UK public sector programme, helping deliver secure, modern data platforms that support digital transformation and emerging AI capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile programme where you'll play a key role in building reliable data solutions and enabling high-quality data products.
The Role
- Building, enhancing and supporting robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and curation
- Developing secure, reliable and high-performing data integration solutions
- Working closely with product teams, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products
- Contributing to engineering standards, best practice and continuous improvement
- Working within Agile, multidisciplinary teams across a large-scale public sector environment
Key Skills & Experience
We're looking for strong experience in:
- SQL and data modelling
- Talend and Pentaho BA
- Oracle databases
- AWS cloud technologies
- Data integration, transformation and orchestration
- Version control and modern engineering practices
- Building and supporting secure, scalable data platforms
Essential
Active SC Clearance is essential.

- Duration: 6+ months
- Rate: Β£400-Β£450 per day
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Location: West Midlands or West Sussex
- Working Pattern: Remote/hybrid, with onsite attendance approximately twice per month
