Network Engineers x 2 – Local Area Distribution + 6 month initial contracts + £600 to £665 per day – Inside IR35 + SC Cleared + Hybrid working from Corsham Key Skills: + CCNP level or above + MP-BGP + MPLS The Local Access Distribution & Telephony Network Engineering Service will support the technical team responsible for the design, development, documentation, building and validation of the core physical and virtual networking components which form the backbone of the LAD T Platform. The detailed responsibilities of the team include: The design, development, building and validation of all networking components which form part of the LAD T Platform. Production and review of all levels of design artefacts. Supporting wider NSoIT(D) system testing activities. Working with Service Management to resolve issues.This role is based on a network engineer with proven experience, operating at CCNP level or above, current certification is not a requirement, but ability must be demonstrable. The role delivers design, deploy and test of network configurations with a focus on production of secure, repeatable solutions along with comprehensive documentation of all configuration elements. Essential skills: Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years within the industry with detailed knowledge and understanding, of the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of the following: Cisco Routing and Switching Multi-Protocol Border Gateway Protocol (MP-BGP) Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Networks (DM-VPN) / FlexVPN / IPSec Access Control Lists (ACL) Quality of Service (QoS) Hierarchical IP Subnetting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and propose new ideas. Hold a valid Security Clearance (SC) Competency in MS Office Suite. Desirable Skills: VMWare ESXi Hypervisor Unified Communications Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Domain Name System (DNS) configuration Scripting (e.g. Python, Ansible, NETCONF, RESTCONF) Knowledge of the Atlassian toolset (JIRA and Confluence) to record and document work. Experience in developing secure architecture within a multi-tenanted environment
