We are looking for a Systems Engineer within Product Delivery for a client of ours who is a leading IT and engineering firm operating within the UK defence sector. You will own and evolve their System of Systems (SoS) digital engineering capability.
Responsibilities:- Deliver and continuously improve SoS toolchains (Cameo/UAF, SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, interface & configuration management, simulation and verification integration).
- Define the reference architecture and technical baselines for multi-system digital solutions.
- Create and manage a clear capability roadmap and backlog aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Enable full digital traceability from capability requirements → architecture → interfaces → analysis → verification → compliance evidence.
- Drive adoption of model-centric working - replacing document-based reviews with authoritative models.
- 10+ years' experience delivering SoS / MBSE capabilities.
- Strong background in Aerospace, Defence or other regulated environments.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Architecture modelling (UAF/DoDAF, SysML/UML)
- Requirements management (IBM DOORS NG)
- Interface & configuration management
- Digital Thread integration and traceability
- INCOSE CSEP/ESEP
- SAFe/Agile
- Product Line Engineering
- Assurance/safety case experience.
