Data Architect – SC Cleared Telford (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week), 6‑Month Contract, £550–£600 per day Inside IR35. Active SC Clearance is essential for this role. We are supporting a major UK public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high‑profile delivery team designing enterprise‑scale data and analytics solutions. You will take ownership of end‑to‑end data architecture, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to design scalable, secure and governed data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Designing enterprise data architectures, including data modelling, governance, metadata, lineage and quality
- Defining modern data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses and lakehouse architectures
- Designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
- Advising on cloud‑based data platforms, virtualisation and modern analytics architectures
- Providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to implementation
- Supporting architecture governance, best practice and technical assurance
- Working with engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions across Agile environments

- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Relational and NoSQL databases

- Agile, DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments
- Experience delivering large‑scale public sector or regulated industry programmes would be highly beneficial
