Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to provide security architecture expertise across complex programmes within a secure, high-assurance environment.
The successful candidate will act as a senior security authority, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle and providing architectural assurance across new and existing technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and assure secure architectures across complex technology environments.
- Define security architecture principles, standards and design patterns.
- Embed security into architecture and design governance.
- Review existing cloud, hybrid and on-premises architectures and identify areas for improvement.
- Translate cyber threats and risk into practical, proportionate security controls.
- Provide security architecture support to technical teams and transformation programmes.
- Ensure alignment with relevant security standards, frameworks and risk requirements.
- Act as a senior technical authority and mentor other security and technical professionals.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Architect.
- Experience designing secure architectures within complex, high-risk or highly regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of NCSC CAF, ISO 27001 and relevant security frameworks.
- Experience across cloud, hybrid and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities and risk-based security design.
- Experience translating security and compliance requirements into technical architecture.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture experience is desirable.
