Head of Planning & Subcontract Manufacturing Onsite in Hampshire £90,000 - £95,000 + Excellent Benefits SC Clearance Eligible (candidates can start on BPSS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Planning & Subcontract Manufacturing to join a leading engineering organisation delivering complex, low-volume, high-value electromechanical products.

This is a strategic leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading the planning function, managing subcontract manufacturing activities and ensuring products are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF).

You'll lead a team of planners and subcontract managers while working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Programme teams to deliver manufacturing excellence.

What you'll be doing

Lead the manufacturing planning function across multiple complex programmes.

Manage subcontract manufacturing partners and supplier performance.

Develop production and capacity plans to support customer demand.

Drive inventory optimisation, working capital improvements and OTIF performance.

Lead and develop a team of Production Planners and Subcontract Managers.

Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain and Programme Management to ensure successful product delivery.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and manufacturing.

Develop supply chain resilience and improve manufacturing capability.

What we're looking for

Significant experience leading Manufacturing Planning within a complex manufacturing environment.

Strong ERP/MRP planning experience (IFS experience highly desirable).

Experience within low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.

Background in electromechanical or electronics manufacturing.

Strong supplier and subcontract management experience.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
