We are looking for an experienced MOD SC Cleared Network Engineer to join a high-profile defence programme based onsite in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria (LA14 4BN). This is a long-term contract opportunity working within a secure environment, collaborating with project managers, SMEs, architects, and operational support teams to deliver critical infrastructure and network projects.

Essential Requirements

  • Active MOD SC Clearance
  • Sole UK National
  • Must not have spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK within the last 5 years
  • Available to work 5 days onsite in Barrow-in-Furness
  • Must work Umbrella company

Contract Details

  • Rate: £480 - £515 per day
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
  • Working Pattern: Full-time onsite

The Role

You will support the delivery and integration of complex enterprise network infrastructure solutions within a secure defence environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and configuration of network hardware and infrastructure
  • Infrastructure surveys (wired and wireless)
  • Office moves, adds, and changes
  • Technical refresh of network hardware and cabling
  • Configuration of:
  • Switches
  • Routers
  • Firewalls
  • Load balancers
  • Voice systems
  • Network impact assessments
  • Testing and analysis against predefined plans
