The predicted salary is between 40000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Barrow In Furness

Duration: 6 months+

Rate: £515 per day (inside IR35)

SC security clearance is required for this role.

Working hours: 5 days a week full-time. Please be aware these roles may involve rotational out of hours working, anticipating a 16:30 - 23:30 evening shift for 2 weeks, followed by 2 weeks on a standard 7.5 hr day shift - subject to change. Expenses of up to £100 per day can be claimed.

Role Description:

  • Inputting into High Level Designs
  • Creating Low Level designs from approved High Level Designs
  • Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. Data Centre Fabric, Access/Distribution Switches, routers, WAN, firewalls, load balancers, Authentication servers, Wifi controllers, management tooling.
  • Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
  • Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analysing results.
  • Planning surveys/surveying for cross/site distribution areas (Fibre) - checking for cabling power/space (photos to be taken)
  • Installing new SDA switches in readiness for OOH work for installation/take on and testing of kit, providing ELS and decom/removal of old switches
  • Installation/take on and testing of new SDA kit
