SQL Server Architect + DV Cleared role + Hybrid working in London + Up to £610 per day - Inside IR35 + Initially 3 months but potentially long term Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Architect to support the migration of an enterprise-scale SharePoint platform from on-premises infrastructure to AWS. The initial eight-week Proof of Value will assess SQL Server high availability, disaster recovery and performance options, with the potential to progress into a detailed architecture and design phase through to the end of 2026. You will work closely with infrastructure and AWS architects to validate solutions and recommend a scalable, resilient and cost-effective platform. Essential Technical Skills 10+ years' Microsoft SQL Server architecture and engineering experience (SQL Server 2016+). Strong experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI) and HA/DR solutions. Experience supporting large-scale SharePoint farms and SQL Server databases. Strong SQL Server performance tuning, storage optimisation and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of clustering, networking, DNS failover and disaster recovery design. Desirable Skills AWS experience with EC2, EBS, FSx, Route 53, CloudWatch and AWS Backup. Infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation or PowerShell. Azure SQL HA/DR knowledge and experience in regulated environments
