I'm looking for a Senior webMethods Integration Developer to join an agile delivery team working on a mission-critical UK MOD platform. This is a genuinely hands-on development role for someone who knows webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging and API Gateway inside out and is comfortable taking ownership of integration development, enhancements and live-service support.
You’ll lead the ongoing development and support of a major integration platform, working closely with Product Owners, clients, QA, UX and DevSecOps teams to deliver new functionality and keep the live platform running securely and reliably. You’ll be involved across the full integration lifecycle: design, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop REST and SOAP services using webMethods Designer
- Develop Universal Messaging / JMS packages
- Configure and maintain webMethods API Gateway
- Design and advise on integration patterns and best practice
- Investigate and resolve defects, bugs and live-service issues
- Develop and test new functionality against Product Owner / client priorities
- Contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications and integrations
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence
- Work within an Agile delivery environment using Jira
- Ensure secure coding practices and alignment with the platform's security posture
