A leading European Defence organisation is seeking an experienced
SAP Data Migration Specialist / SAP Data Migration Consultant
to support a major
SAP ECC6 data migration and business integration programme .
The successful
SAP Data Migration Consultant
will have strong hands‑on experience migrating data from
non‑SAP systems into SAP ECC6 , covering
data extraction, data cleansing, data mapping, data conversion, data transformation, data loading, reconciliation and validation .
You will work closely with
SAP functional consultants, technical teams and business stakeholders
across multiple migration cycles, supporting
migration testing, dress rehearsals, cutover, SAP go‑live and post‑go‑live hypercare .
Key Skills / Responsibilities
End-to-end
SAP data migration
from non‑SAP legacy/source systems into
SAP ECC6 .
Data extraction, preparation, cleansing, validation and transformation.
Develop and maintain
SAP data migration plans, mapping specifications, transformation rules and migration runbooks .
Define
source‑to‑target data mapping
and SAP data conversion requirements.
Prepare and load
SAP master data and transactional data .
Develop and execute SAP migration/load programs using
LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) .
Execute
SAP data migration test loads , identify errors and troubleshoot data load failures.
Investigate and resolve
SAP migration defects, data quality issues and load failures .
Support
data reconciliation, validation and migration quality assurance .
Participate in
SAP migration mock loads, dress rehearsals and migration testing cycles .
Support
SAP cutover planning and execution .
Support production
SAP data migration and go‑live activities .
Provide
SAP post‑go‑live support and hypercare .
Work closely with
SAP Functional Consultants, SAP Technical Consultants, business users and data owners .
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience as a
SAP Data Migration Specialist, SAP Data Migration Consultant, SAP Migration Consultant or SAP Data Conversion Consultant .
Hands‑on experience with
SAP ECC6 data migration .
Proven experience migrating data from
non‑SAP / legacy systems into SAP .
Strong experience with
LSMW / Legacy System Migration Workbench .
Understanding of
SAP data objects, master data and transactional data .
Strong knowledge of
data mapping, data conversion, data cleansing, data transformation and data validation .
Experience with
SAP migration testing, data loading, reconciliation and defect resolution .
Experience supporting
SAP cutover, go‑live and hypercare .
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with
SAP functional teams and business stakeholders .
Active UK SC Security Clearance - essential.
Desirable Skills
SAP ECC6 Finance / FI
experience.
SAP Logistics / MM / SD
experience.
Experience with SAP master data and transactional data migration.
Experience working within
Defence, Government or highly secure/regulated environments .
Knowledge of
ETL, data transformation and legacy data migration methodologies .
