Requirements
- Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance that is current and transferable
- Proven experience in a 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support or engineering role
- Strong Wintel infrastructure support experience within enterprise environments
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across core infrastructure technologies
- Experience working within secure, enterprise, government, or defence environments
- Ability to work full-time onsite in London
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience is desirable
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions is desirable
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as SCOM or equivalent is desirable
- Exposure to highly secure, classified, or air-gapped environments is desirable
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems and services is desirable
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for Windows-based infrastructure and core services
- Administer and support Active Directory environments, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user/device management
- Support and maintain VMware virtualised infrastructure environments
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure incidents and problems
- Perform system patching, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities
- Implement and maintain security best practices within a highly regulated environment
- Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks
- Work closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support business-critical services
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and infrastructure optimisation projects
- Participate in technical escalations and provide support for major incidents when required
