You will join a global defence technology company working within an Agile Scrum team on innovative solutions in the Geospatial domain. The role is more than a tester. The Engineer will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, helping shape the quality of complex, real-world, cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality at every step.
  • Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
  • Design of tests within an agile environment using a test management tool. We use the Xray Test Management application for Jira.
  • Designing and executing automated and exploratory tests, particularly in RESTful API environments.
  • Contributing towards researching, evaluating and managing test automation frameworks.

Your skills and experience:

  • Agile development experience
  • Ability to support the Product Owner in defining acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Testing REST Architecture using Postman or Bruno
  • Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to promote innovation in self and others
  • Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
  • Ability to deliver to quality, cost and schedule
  • Good attention to detail
