Salary: 28,350 + full benefits package

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified apprentice from any technical trade (electrical, mechanical, automotive, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) to step into a field-based engineering role, working on medical and care equipment including:

  • Profiling beds
  • Air pressure mattresses (APMs)
  • Assisted baths
  • Hoists
  • Scales and plinths

As a Level 1 Field Service Engineer, you’ll focus on planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), installations, and basic repairs, supporting more experienced engineers with complex diagnostics. This gives you the chance to build real-world experience while developing your technical skills in a structured, supportive environment. This is a fully field-based role, travelling across your region and occasionally across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned servicing, inspection, and basic repairs on care and medical equipment
  • Installing and assembling profiling beds and air pressure mattresses
  • Supporting Level 2 engineers on larger or more technical jobs
  • Collecting and delivering equipment where required
  • Completing digital service reports via mobile
