We are seeking an experienced and motivated BMS Supervisor to oversee the installation, commissioning, and delivery of Building Management System (BMS) projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical or mechanical engineering with specific expertise in building automation and control systems. You will manage installation teams, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure technical compliance, and drive project timelines to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate BMS installation activities on-site, ensuring work is carried out to design specifications and in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Review BMS drawings, schematics, and technical documents to guide installation teams and subcontractors.
- Act as the primary point of contact between site teams, project managers, engineers, and other contractors regarding BMS-related works.
- Monitor progress and quality of BMS installations and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Support and oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including functional and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot installation and system integration issues, proposing effective solutions as needed.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including daily reports, snag lists, and progress records.
- Ensure appropriate materials, tools, and manpower are available for BMS works.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians on BMS systems and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BMS systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of BMS hardware, control systems, and protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks).
- Familiarity with major BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Trend, Tridium).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and how they integrate with BMS controls.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.
