We're recruiting for an experienced DV Cleared Network Architect to join a major MOD programme delivering highly secure, mission-critical network infrastructure. This is a long-term contract offering the opportunity to shape complex network architectures within one of the UK's most technically challenging environments. You'll play a key role in the design, assurance and evolution of secure enterprise network solutions, working alongside engineering, security and delivery teams to support large-scale digital transformation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design secure, resilient network architectures for enterprise and defence environments.
  • Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and supporting technical documentation.
  • Lead architecture decisions across data centre, campus and WAN environments.
  • Provide technical governance and architectural assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with engineering and security teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support the optimisation and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures.

Essential Skills

  • Current DV Clearance (essential).
  • Proven experience as a Network Architect within defence, government or other highly secure enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in:
    • BGP
    • EVPN-VXLAN
    • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
    • Enterprise WAN Architecture & Design
  • Experience designing modern data centre network architectures.
  • Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles and network security best practices.
  • Ability to produce detailed architecture documentation, HLDs and LLDs.
  • Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or digital transformation programmes.

Desirable

  • Previous experience delivering network solutions within the MOD or wider UK Government.
  • Experience working on complex, mission-critical programmes.
