The predicted salary is between 25219 - 29336 £ per year.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out all mechanical elements of maintenance of the mine. This includes the maintenance of surface and underground systems, the buildings and structures, the mineshaft, and all associated machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and check all mechanical equipment, artefacts and displays at the museum, and carry out statutory inspections in accordance with the Operators Scheme for the mine.
- Maintain and check all equipment and buildings, following all applicable procedures, methods of work, statutes, Manager's Rules, and codes of conduct.
- Act as banksman, winder man, and perform mechanical work on any equipment, buildings, or functions as required.
- Deputise for the Mechanical Engineer in their absence.
- You may act as an underground guide and assist in the operation of the underground tours with visitors and colleagues.
