  • This role suits someone who enjoys a busy newsroom environment and takes pride in high‑quality editing and production.
  • Produce and edit social‑first video and graphics designed to perform on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Snapchat and YouTube (including using in‑platform tools and features).
  • Spot the most newsworthy and shareable moments within press conferences, interviews, articles and TV segments, and package them for social.
  • Create vertical video, subtitles/captions, still graphics, Instagram carousels and link posts in line with platform best practice.
  • Support anchors and correspondents in the field by giving feedback on social style, then shaping incoming material into polished social packages.
  • Write concise, accurate caption and headline copy that is on‑brand and in context.
  • Respond quickly when news breaks and contribute ideas to grow assigned accounts (e.g., engagement and video views), using performance data to improve output.

What You’ll Bring

  • Several years’ experience in social media production and/or a newsroom environment.
  • Strong knowledge of major social platforms, formats and audiences, with a practical understanding of what performs well and why.
  • Excellent editorial judgement and the ability to cover a wide range of topics accurately and impartially.
  • Strong writing skills, with a portfolio of published work.
  • Confident video producing and editing skills, including creating vertical‑first edits for social.
  • Ability to subtitle/caption video quickly and accurately using editing tools and in‑app text features (e.g., TikTok and Instagram).
