A global IT Consultancy is looking for an Infrastructure Technical Architect to deliver hands‑on technical architecture and infrastructure implementation work on a critical programme. This is a full‑time, on‑site contract in Newport, South Wales.

- Rate: up to £625/day (inside IR35)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Newport, South Wales (100% on‑site)
- Clearance: Active SC and NPPV3 required
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering and implementing infrastructure/technical solutions end‑to‑end
- Owning LLDs, technical documentation and DR planning
- Managing and supporting infrastructure changes (incl. out‑of‑hours where needed)
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer
- Working with stakeholders/suppliers/3rd parties to drive delivery
Essential skills & experience
- Strong virtualisation experience: VMware and/or Hyper‑V
- Windows Server (2008+ onwards) engineering and support
- Strong PowerShell Scripting/automation
- Azure experience (including Azure Local exposure ideal)
- Solid grasp of enterprise infrastructure best practice and operational processes
Nice to have:
- Ansible for Windows build automation
