Recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering secure, mission-critical technology solutions within the UK defence sector. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, implement and support VMware NSX-T and software-defined networking solutions across highly secure environments, while providing technical leadership to project teams.
Experience includes:
- Strong experience with VMware NSX-T (or equivalent network virtualisation platforms)
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, VLANs, QoS and Cisco networking
- Experience with software-defined networking, micro-segmentation and secure network architectures
- Knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, network monitoring and virtualised environments
- Previous experience delivering within secure, enterprise or defence environments
- Ability to mentor engineers and own technical delivery
It would be an added advantage if you had any of the following:
- VMware NSX certification
- VCF, vSphere or vSAN experience
- Automation (Ansible, Terraform, APIs)
- AWS/Azure networking
