About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical works on a variety of projects, including groundworks, building/civils, solar panel ground-mounted frame installations, mounting PV panels and inverters, as well as HV and LV electrical cable installation, connection works, testing, and commissioning. This role requires a leader with strong Health & Safety awareness, CDM Regulations 2015 expertise, and experience working on MOD projects. You will be responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E works including solar PV, HV & LV electrical infrastructure, and ground-mounted systems.
- Manage site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other relevant legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, method statements, and enforce safe working practices.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain high-quality project delivery.
- Provide leadership and direction to the workforce and subcontractors on-site.
- Report on project progress, risks, and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Ensure all works meet the required MOD standards and site security requirements.
Requirements:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Experience in M&E installation, solar PV systems, electrical infrastructure, and civil engineering projects.
- MOD project experience desirable but not necessary.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and deliver projects successfully.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
