We are seeking an experienced OpenVMS Developer to take ownership of a critical Manufacturing Execution System environment within a high-tech manufacturing operation. This is a key role focused on supporting, optimising, and evolving MES capabilities to drive production efficiency, system reliability, and compliance.
The successful candidate will act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the MES platform, working closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT teams to support business-critical operations and future system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage, configure, maintain, and optimise the MES environment
- Ensure high system availability and performance across manufacturing operations
- Support integration with ERP, PLC, and other enterprise systems
- Lead troubleshooting, enhancements, and continuous improvement activities
- Analyse production workflows and implement MES improvements
