The Role
We're looking for a DV Cleared User Researcher to support a highly classified MOD programme delivering an Above Secret capability. You'll lead user research in secure environments, working closely with senior military and MOD stakeholders to understand workflows, user needs, and transition impacts from existing systems. This role operates under strict security constraints, so adaptability and pragmatic research approaches are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research within classified MOD environments
- Engage senior military and civilian stakeholders
- Develop personas, journey maps and process maps
- Produce Business Change Assessments
- Define onboarding and IMPEX processes
- Support service design and operational readiness
- Document findings in approved secure environments
Essential Experience
- Proven user research experience in UK Public Sector or Defence
- Strong qualitative research skills (interviews, workshops, stakeholder engagement)
- Experience translating research into business change outputs
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile environments
Desirable
- Experience on classified or Above Secret programmes
- Knowledge of GDS Service Standards
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
This role requires DV clearance and additional programme vetting, which may extend onboarding timelines. Classified work must be conducted on-site in secure locations in London and the South East.
