Overview
Recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering secure, mission‑critical technology solutions within the UK defence sector. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll design, implement and support VMware NSX‑T and software‑defined networking solutions across highly secure environments, while providing technical leadership to project teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with VMware NSX‑T (or equivalent network virtualisation platforms)
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, VLANs, QoS and Cisco networking
- Experience with software‑defined networking, micro‑segmentation and secure network architectures
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, network monitoring and virtualised environments
- Previous experience delivering within secure, enterprise or defence environments
- Ability to mentor engineers and own technical delivery
Desired Additional Skills
- VMware NSX certification
- VCF, vSphere or vSAN experience
- Automation (Ansible, Terraform, APIs)
- AWS/Azure networking
