Shift assignments are fully flexible and may include early starts, late finishes and weekend working
Rates of pay for this role start from Β£12.50p/h
Roles and Responsibilities
- To understand their general responsibilities towards the Health, Safety and Welfare of all customers, other stewards, staff members and themselves
- Control access and egress to site
- Responding & reporting to incidents as they occur, on occasion ejecting unsuitable individuals.
- Searching bags and the public upon their arrival where necessary
- Monitoring crowd safety and behaviour
- To carry out safety checks
- To control or direct customers who are entering or leaving the venue, to help achieve an even flow of people to and from the venue
- To assist in the safe operation of the venue
- To staff entrances, exits and other strategic points; for example, fire exits, exit gates, entrances which are not continuously secured in the open position whilst the event is open.
- To recognise crowd conditions to ensure the safe ingress, circulation and egress of the event and the prevention of overcrowding, particularly in the aisles and atrium doors.
- To assist customers and emergency services in the event of an emergency.
- To respond to emergencies (such as the early stages of a fire); to raise the alarm and to take the necessary immediate action.
- To undertake specific duties in an emergency or as directed by an event manager of security manager or the appropriate emergency services officer.
- To provide basic emergency first aid.
- Any other duties deemed reasonable for the role.
- Must hold a valid SIA License
- Willing to undertake NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety
