About the role!

As a CBRE Procurement Director, you will assist with the overall planning and direction of the procurement function. This job is part of the Procurement function. They are responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers.

This is a temporary role for a 6-month contract.

What you’ll do:

  1. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  2. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  3. Assist with the creation and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures, playbooks, and other organizational materials.
  4. Implement sourcing and procurement strategies to support program, corporate, and client goals and objectives.
  5. Develop, communicate, and lead the execution of local and regional sourcing and procurement strategies.
  6. Design and develop purchasing information systems. Prepare monthly reports of departmental activities, KPIs, and metrics to present to Sr. Management.
  7. Manage procurement budget and supplier base of vendors.
  8. Serve as a liaison between the business and client sourcing, and internal departments.
  9. Resolve vendor disputes and develop organization requirements of goods, services, supplies, and equipment.
  10. Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  11. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  12. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  13. Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources.
  14. Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

Supervisory responsibilities: This role has no direct reports.

What you’ll need:

  1. Bachelor\’s Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility required.
  2. Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  3. Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  4. Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results.
  5. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  6. Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  7. Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate financial-related calculations.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Knowledge of Financial software systems.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Procurement Director position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary is $120,000 annually.
