CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Newton Aycliffe.

Purpose of the Job

To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on clients\’ HVAC, Chilled Water, and Compressed Air Systems in accordance with agreed service levels.

Responsibilities and Daily Activities

• Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all HVAC plant to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.
• Maintain Chilled Water Systems and Domestic Water Systems in compliance with the L8 standard.
• Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to keep plant operational.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on other site plant as required.
• Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance tasks.
• Keep comprehensive maintenance records up to date.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
• Develop good working relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and clients\’ staff.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Present a professional image of CBRE Managed Services and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain professional and technical skills through ongoing personal development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A good basic education with proficiency in English and basic Mathematics.
• Experience maintaining Pumps, Motors, and Valves.
• Experience operating Chilled Water, compressed air, and domestic water systems.
• Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities.
• Experience working on client resident sites (Desirable).
• Certification for Maintenance and Operation of F-Gas systems (Desirable).
• Training in mechanical services maintenance.
• Basic skills in building management systems (Advantageous).
• Formal health and safety training (Desirable).
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Calm, able to work under pressure, and make sound decisions.
• Physically fit to carry tools and components up to 20kg.
• Ability to work at heights and on roofs.
• Team player, able to collaborate with CBRE Managed Services and clients\’ staff at all levels.
