CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mailroom Operative to join the team located in London. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for all day-to-day services relating to a Central London Office.
This person will primarily be responsible for overseeing the mailroom and courier services along with the delivery, storage, movement and return of goods for the site. The individual will assist the Line Manager to ensure a consistent and smooth link with the rest of the team. They will also be multi-skilled to meet the wide and varied requirements of the role. Focus will be given to operational responsibility for the delivery of facilities services within the Nike office.
This role is to deliver a seamless service for each Athlete or Business Unit needing mailroom services and will respond to a wide variety of receiving and shipping requests, providing proactive, knowledgeable, engaged service, while creatively exceeding expectations. The role will be an integral part of the onsite facilities team and will work closely with the Handyman Logistics Co-ordinator and Experience Specialists to ensure that all services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivers a seamless, delightful, and superior mailroom service for all Athletes and Business Units.
- Responsible for the logistics and movement of business deliveries at the site.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Facilities suppliers for the mailroom and logistics services.
- Implements and monitors standards of service to meet and exceed expectations and looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies related to the mailroom services.
- Work with the wider facilities team to anticipate and resolve any potential obstacles in the work environment.
- Back up for site team absences and support.
- Provide support for other locations if required.
- Familiar with all services within the facility and works with the services team to facilitate hospitality approach across all service lines.
- Superuser for those technologies used for the mailroom services.
- Responsible for the QSHE of the mailroom and logistics, in addition to supporting the QSHE process for the Facilities site and services through reporting of near misses and demonstrating a proactive approach to QSHE.
- Maintain the day-to-day relationships with the Building User stakeholders regarding the mailroom and logistic services.
- Responsible for the co-ordination and the logistics of the goods in and out service.
- Responsible for the courier service, from acceptance of courier packages, ensuring delivery to the customer, and arranging couriers.
- Ensure that the onsite tracking and security of all mail and packages is followed and tracked.
- Provide monthly data and reports on the mailroom & shipping costs and volumes to the Facility Lead.
- Ensure all printing & copier stations are stocked and tidy, working with supply partners on any issues or faults.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe working environment within the areas of responsibility.
- Participate in incident reporting by ensuring Near Miss incidents and accidents of staff are logged via the CBRE platform.
- Be fully conversant with the reporting procedures for any non-conformance / incident in relation to H&S and first aid.
- Must know where the fire exits locations are situated and follow all on-site procedures during evacuation.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
Operating an average 40 hours working week, delivering services between 08:00 – 17:00 hrs. Monday to Friday.
