Role Purpose
Our specialist London team is the biggest in the UK giving us unrivalled market insight, undertaking one-off valuations for all the major UK and International banks, as well as regular valuations for some of the largest Central London focused REITS and property companies. From one-off valuations to entire portfolios, we advise on all property types in London, delivering accurate valuations based on our specialist knowledge of the cityβs real estate.
The Central London Valuation And Advisory Team is a dynamic group of 23 people. Our experience ranges from valuing single assets to large complex portfolios. We work with high profile London investors including Land Securities, The Crown Estate, Cadogan Estates, Grosvenor and Shaftesbury Capital, all of which are market leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
- Valuation of a wide range of commercial property involving some of the most prestigious properties in Central London.
- Valuation for accounting, fund reporting and loan security purposes.
- Collaborate with other members of the Hyderabad and London Valuation team on the valuation process and undertake quality control of their work.
- Preparation of detailed reports and presentation of valuation advice to clients.
- Select appropriate comparables, performing analysis, and drawing conclusions.
- Advice to clients on acquisitions, disposals and for review purposes.
- Working closely with senior team members on high profile instructions.
- To integrate with the wider CBRE network and other business lines such as Capital Markets and Agency teams.
- Gather and share relevant market intelligence and support senior members of the team with other value-add tasks.
- To support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.
- Support senior members of the team with business development, RFPs and pitch activities.
- QRM compliance.
- Support with training and mentoring more junior members of the team to develop management skills.
Person Specification/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
- MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 18 months post qualified experience.
- Candidate may have an HypZert (MLV) accreditation or an interest in completing one.
- Knowledge of property valuation methodologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in using valuation software and tools, such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel.
- Proficiency in reporting and data analytical tools to drive operational efficiency and reduce potential data transposition errors.
- Good understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation.
- Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and support senior valuers, but also able to operate autonomously in an efficient and productive manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate and meet deadlines.
- Enjoys working under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid UK driving licence.
